Transparency: PETG > PC
The shaker is mainly used for the culture of suspended cells, and is also used for the preparation and storage of various media. When cultured cells need to observe the growth state of cells in real time, so the transparency of the shaker material is very high.
★ PETG and PC are highly transparent plastics, PETG light transmittance of 90%, can achieve the transparency of plexiglass, even the wall thickness of PETG products, its light transmittance can not be affected.
★ The light transmittance of PC is slightly lower than that of PETG, and the surface gloss is not as good as PETG.
Tensile resistance: PETG < PC
★ PETG has excellent toughness and tensile resistance, and the maximum tensile ratio can reach more than 180%, but it is still slightly worse than PC.
High temperature resistance: PETG < PC
Although PETG material has outstanding toughness and high impact strength, it is easy to collapse and damage after high temperature and high pressure. PC material has high strength and can be deformed once in 20 minutes at 121℃ and 15psi.
Temperature resistance: PETG at low temperature, PC at high temperature
★ PETG processing temperature is about 215 ° C ~235 ° C, PC processing temperature is 280 ° C or higher.
★ PETG at low temperature, the physical and mechanical properties hardly change, PETG products can be used normally at -30 ° C, the lowest temperature resistance can even reach -60 ° C, and the high temperature generally does not exceed 75 ° C.
★ The heat resistance of PC is stronger, can reach 130℃, or even higher.
Internal stress: PETG < PC
★ PETG made of products without internal stress or internal stress is very small, PC chemical resistance and hydrolysis resistance is poor, so when storing chemicals or encounter high temperature and humidity environment, easy to cause internal stress cracking.
